La Petite Maison
Meet the 2023 Dollhouse Designers
Amanda Medsger
Amanda Medsger, the Principal of MEDSGER, brings over a decade of experience designing both residential and hospitality interiors. Her success is a testament to her diverse background in styling for both interiors and cookbooks. Amanda's interior styling work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Veranda, Dwell, Monocle Magazine, and more. Her cookbook styling of some of the South’s most beautiful and James Beard award-winning cookbooks transitioned seamlessly into restaurant design and has led her to restaurant projects ranging from Vestal restaurant in Lafayette to a variety of Underbelly Hospitality restaurant projects in Houston. MEDSGER's work is defined by an elegant blend of modernism, natural materials, and an appreciation for the beauty in imperfection and age. Each space is treated as a story unique to its inhabitants, where every object acts as a character in the narrative. Her work feels layered over time, poetically weaving together the modern, familiar, and authentic, transcending any specific design movement or trend. Instead, her intention is to create a distinct sense of place that breathes a life and story of its own. The result is reminiscent of the ancient Greek word "Nostos," which describes the feeling of coming home after a long, epic journey. This unique sense of place and home is palpable in all of MEDSGER's projects.
Aryn Guillory
Owner and lead designer Aryn Guillory leads Oyster Creek Studios with a serious love for interior design. After graduating from Baylor University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in General Family and Consumer Science, Aryn worked for nearly 13 years as a health and safety professional for a large electric power and gas pipeline company. In 2015, Aryn and her husband purchased a lot on Oyster Creek that immediately captured their hearts. Soon after they made this purchase, they started the design process of building their first custom home from the ground up. During this process, Aryn truly discovered a passion for interior design. She started documenting her own building process on social media and before long, friends and friends of friends, and neighbors began to ask her for design help. Fast forward to 2016, OCS was born out of Aryn’s guest bedroom in which she poured her heart and soul into every design project she could get her hands on. Since then, Aryn has grown her design team and in 2020, she launched a bespoke furniture line, Oyster Creek Collection. Customers from around the United States, are purchasing furniture from her collection every single week. Shortly after her collection launch, Aryn moved her team and studio into the heart of West University where she has a tiny but cozy studio space. Aryn currently resides in Missouri City, Texas on Oyster Creek with her husband and two young boys. She truly believes the home should be a place where memories can be made and life well lived.
Bailey McCarthy
Bailey McCarthy started her career as an interior designer and blogger. In 2012, she realized, through her design work, that there was a lack of heirloom quality bedding for her generation. She created Biscuit as a brand that would fill this space by producing luxury bedding, with fun designer prints, that were easy to shop. Her mission is to keep the process rooted in the traditions of hospitality and American manufacturing. Her interior design work, along with her personal homes, has been featured in major publications such as House Beautiful and Architectural Digest. In 2019 she joined her husband, Pete, and their business partners as Creative Director of their hospitality group, Goodnight Hospitality. Their successful concepts include Rosie Cannonball, Montrose Cheese & Wine, March, and soon to open Marigold Club. While she no longer takes on interior design clients, Bailey continues to create magical spaces for herself, Pete, their 2 children, and their gaggle of poodles.

Her portfolio is filled with stylish spaces that nod to a new-traditional aesthetic, while maintaining a sense of modernity and an eye for today’s trends.
